Javaher-Dasht Safari

سافاری جواهردشت

A ride to the heart of jungle through the foggy roads to reach a high-altitude plain, called as Jordasht. “Jor” means “high” in Gilaki dialect. The name Jordasht was eventually changed to Javaher-Dasht (meaning the plain of jewels); a befitting name as Jordasht shines like a jewel in the hillsides of Somamus Mountain.

Position: Eastern Guilan, between Kelachay and Chaboksar cities, on Siahkalroud road.

Distance and duration of the trip: About 20 Km (30 minute) drive through paved road followed by about 20 Km (1 hour) drive through mountainous dirt road in the middle of the jungle

The dirt road has many puddles, get ready for an exciting jeep ride!
